As the mortgage market continues to face inventory—and now interest rate—headwinds, it’s not surprising that 2022 is seeing a 180-degree pivot from the last two years’ stronger origination performance. You don’t have to go far to find a headline trumpeting lender layoffs, talent reshuffling or drops in origination volume—estimated to be about half of both 2020’s and 2021’s year-to-date volume. Ultimately, fewer real estate sales mean less business for the title industry, but you can be down without being out. While this year won’t be as robust as last, title should continue to see decent volume. If you’re struggling with having to reshuffle your own team, don’t add a myriad of tedious title and document work to their plates or spend time training just to fill the gaps when you can lighten the load with a professional partner. We have welcomed a new face to our Client Success Team: Kathleen Librado! The Client Success Team is integral in supporting much of the behind-the-scenes work for our clients. This work ensures that clients are trained to take full advantage of the technology, services and support resources reQuire offers. Read Kathleen’s spotlight to learn more about her and her role.
1. Tell us a little about yourself/your family and where you’re based.
Hello everyone! My name is Kathleen Librado, and I am a Client Success Specialist at reQuire. I’m based in the Virginia Beach office. My husband and I are originally from San Diego, California, and moved here to Virginia in 2016. I’m a recent graduate of Old Dominion University (Class of 2020) and have been with reQuire for a little more than a year now! While I am new to the company, I look forward to getting to know everyone and learning as much as I can.
2. Describe your role at reQuire.
As a new Client Success Specialist, I assist the other client specialists with training and customer care. I assist clients with questions they may have about our services, walk them through data entry on the website and help them submit orders. Customers can come to me with questions about our products, services or integrations, including E-closing, ResWare, Qualia, SoftPro, Title Express and LandTech, and I can support clients who order through our website as well.
3. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
During my free time I enjoy being active—that includes hiking, going to the beach, playing my guitar, reading and taking care of my plants.
4. Can you share a secret skill or fun fact about yourself?
I’m a huge science nerd.
